Dropped Vase III – Hat Catching (2020) is a unique, hand-formed ceramic piece from Ulli Knall's "Dropped Vases" series. The sculpture captures the fleeting moment in which something slips away – a hat, a thought, a sense of balance. Like a body in motion, the vessel tilts to the side, yet remains composed, almost expectant. The form speaks of the attempt to catch something that is already half lost – light, floating, yet full of weight. A poetic object that poses questions without demanding answers – ceramic art full of spaces.
